Casa Alice is a delightful attic in the historic center of Carrara in Tuscany, a building from the 1400s. In taking care of the restyling, Nelly tried to enhance the structural elements typical of the architecture of the time.
On the walls, niches and semi-finished marble objects have been brought to light left in sight to complete the traditional frame.
The stone walls and the Tuscan-style roof are made of chestnut beams and terracotta. The mezzanines have been combined with white Carrara marble while the wooden parquet was completed with custom-made furniture.
Designer and antique pieces coupled with vintage and handcrafted objects give the rooms a sober, harmonious and relaxing aspect.
This house represents a profitable investment for the new owner. The intervention of the building was carried out with parsimony and simplicity without neglecting the quality of the materials and components used.
The pleasant result of the restoration allowed the property to quickly realise it’s potential on the London rental market.
This is a small mountain chalet in Cerreto Laghi, a ski resort in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. Made entirely of wood, the furnishings reflect the classic mountain style, with the addition of antique salvaged objects which help create a warm and convivial atmosphere.
Immersed in a fantastic olive grove, away from the traffic and stress of the city, this country house represents the fifth essence of the "oriental house" charm. The house has received a total internal makeover, with the creation of a large open space.
The laying of slate and travertine inside and outside, the recovery of antique pieces, the use of colours and oriental-style furnishings and small objects give a warm and convivial eclectic atmosphere suitable for the requests of the family who live there.
